Big Island Plum 2021
Big Island Plum is predominately fruit from Sarah and Adam at Oak Knoll Farm. They have a small apple, pear and plum orchard. We pick the fruits as they ripen throughout the season, usually beginning in August and ending in October. This wine is whole Italian Prune Plums macerated in apple. We waited longer to release this wine than nearly all of the other wines of the season - it has a beautiful burnished hue and a delicate savory aroma that took some time to unravel. Now, we find it to be quite stunning and quite unlike some of the other more fruit forward wines of 2021.
