Blue Moon Farm Cuvee 1

100% apples from Blue Moon Farm on Waldron Island. This was the first vintage we worked with Blue Moon Farm, and a beautiful one. The orchard is planted to many varieties that ripen from September through October. In order to learn about the orchard and its personalities we bottled four wines through the season as fruit was picked. This was our first pick from the orchard of September fruit. Rebecca and her partner Sam picked the early season apples and brought them to Friday Harbor box by box in their small skiff while running their weekly errands. This is our absolutely favorite apple orchard on the planet, and this cuvee shows the freshness and juiciness of the early season apple varieties planted on this 1880s era orchard.
