100% apples from Blue Moon Farm on Waldron Island. This was the first vintage we worked with Blue Moon Farm, and a beautiful one. The orchard is planted to many varieties that ripen from September through October. In order to learn about the orchard and its personalities we bottled four wines through the season as fruit was picked. This was our third pick from the orchard in mid/late October. We traveled in our box truck by private barge along with two other vehicles to Waldron. Any fruit we could fit in our truck went into this cuvee! Multiple varieties, but mostly Kings of Tompkins. This is our absolutely favorite apple orchard on the planet, and it was a delight to visit and bring home fruit for this wine.
