JUPE-A-LUPES Grape + Apple Sparkling 2023

When we first arrived in the Pacific Northwest, we immediately sought out like minded farmers to discuss and discover what varieties of fruits were suited to this climate. These discussions led us to meet several farmers living and working near Bellingham, and also led us to discover a world of table and hybrid grapes that thrived here. Primarily exciting to us among these was the grape Jupiter: a highly delicious aromatic red whose parents included a type of Muscat that lend the fruit an intoxicating aroma that kept us coming back for more. In 2020 we trialed our first wines with this grape, and were sold. Along with our new farming friends, we planted several acres in early 2021, and as the vines progress towards maturity we are excited to have our first fruits from these vines to play with. While we have plans for pink sparkling in the near future, this first release from these vineyards is one of the most *fun* wines of the season: sparkling, red from the skins of the grapes, juicy from an equal balance of crushed grapes and crushed apples. A category-less bottle that sits in between Red Wine and Apple Wine and Fruit Wine and Fun Wine that has a multitude of food pairing options (anything with spice will love this wine!)
