Our second release from grapes we farm on Lopez Island at Lopez Island Vineyards.

A sparkling wine made from Madeleine Angevine and Siegerrebe, fermented on their skins as in the previous vintage, but released without the extensive aging of the wines previous iteration High Flying: a different year, a different expression of fruit.

We find it to be wildly delicious! Fun and fruity, aromatic and lightly juicy. Flavors of candied grapefruit peel, Ruby grapefruit juice and elderflowers. It’s the fun, poundable version of the previous year. We changed the label slightly to reflect the wine’s changed personality, and moving forward as we explore vintage changes with this particular vineyard we will continue making both of these wines as two faces of what we do and how we work, depending on the year: one that shows elegance, finesse, and age worthiness, and one that is a true Picnic wine of immediate pleasure and satisfaction.
